About BTS
Our Story
In the year 2010, when everyone else thought the world would end, our founder Craig Williams decided to prepare for an uncertain future.
Then again, Craig is from Cape Town, so he’ll most likely say that he was being wise and doing what his people do which involves preparing for a future that would come even after the world ends.
BTS was born to provide high-quality freight and logistics services to businesses and individuals in Cape Town. The complexities involved in serving businesses and individuals were many – they are, after all, two completely different entities in the eyes of business, so doing double the work was an interesting ride.
But we decided that BTS should cater to all kinds of folks so that they can benefit from our services, and they do.
Since the unsuccessful arrival of the 2010 apocalypse, BTS has grown to become one of the leading transportation companies in the Western Region of South Africa. We can back that up with our stellar reputation for excellence and reliability.
Our success is mostly a result of our commitment to intentional customer service and consistent customer satisfaction. We work closely with each of our clients in a genuine effort to understand what they need and develop customised transportation solutions that meet those needs, and exceed them where possible.
We strive to be the best in this constantly on-the-move industry by proactively improving our services and intentionally maintaining strong relationships with our clients and partners. Becoming better at what we do is what we do here at BTS.
Since our origin story took place at a time when the world was probably (not really) going to be destroyed, the failure of that destruction led us to thinking about the actual destruction that is going on around the world.
BTS made the decision to execute our operations
a sustainable way in an effort to reduce our environmental impact, and just in case you were wondering, we stand by this decision to this day.
Environmental Impact
We have implemented several measures to reduce our carbon footprint and avoid destroying our world in the absence of an apocalypse. These measures include:.
- Making use of hybrid and electric vehicles majorly reduces our need for fuel which reduces the demand, and will hopefully lead to a reduction in the supply of fuel, enabling the Earth to rest for a little while
- Regularly maintaining and upgrading our fleet to ensure maximum efficiency. This means that we can use what we have for longer periods of time, and upgrade when they begin to do more harm than good.
- As if we weren’t perfect already with all our sustainability efforts, we are constantly tailoring our routes to perfection to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
